What If Wolverine Had Killed The Hulk?

What If Marvel comics were series that presented what would have happened in certain hypothetical scenarios such as What If Captain America Were Elected President? and What If Spider-Man Had Joined the Fantastic Four?

In 1982, Marvel published What If Wolverine Had Killed The Hulk?

The story starts with The Hulk battling The Wendigo in Canada, with The Watcher explaining how Wolverine was sent by the Canadian authorities to capture them. What if, however, instead of completing his mission as intended, Wolverine had killed The Hulk?

After Wolverine defeats The Hulk, he gets into a confrontation with people in a bar and kills a civilian with his adamantium claws. Unsure of what to do, he runs back to his military base and asks his ‘boss’ what happens next. Wolverine is told that he’ll have to go through the judicial system, something Wolverine isn’t too happy about, and he runs off, eventually getting wrapped up in Magento’s plan for world domination.

Wolverine later pays the X-Men a visit at Professor Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters, the intention being to betray them. One night he destroys the system that raises an alarm if Magneto is within range.

The next morning Magneto and his super villains arrive, ready to destroy the X-Men. But Wolverine decides to switch sides and fight alongside the X-Men. Neither Magneto nor Wolverine survive the battle.
