Here’s a throwback to a print ad in the 1960s for the Joker’s Special, manufactured by Ultra Products Co in Chicago, Illinois (a competitor to the Johnson Smith Company).
For $1.98, you could get a marriage license fooler, a so-called atomic joy buzzer and a razzer, so that when “some long winded speaker” took too much time in the classroom, you could “blast his ears with a loud braying Bronx cheer.” You were promised howls of laughter and good natured grinning as a reward! Nice to see Ultra Products Co was encouraging good behaviour in schools…
This ad was published in Marvel Collectors’ Item Classics, Issue #2, 1966.
