Here’s a quick post showing how one can easily lose their money purchasing a fraudulent copy of a product on Amazon, thinking they’re getting the real deal. Greg Doucette, also known as Coach Greg, is a fitness YouTuber with 1.85 million subscribers and he’s known for his culinary experimentation that has resulted in creations such as Anabolic French Toast and Extra Anabolic Protein Popcorn.
Doucette released his his Ultimate Anabolic Cookbook at what many people perceived was too high of a price, and there was some pushback, but ultimately many customers were willing to pay for the product, making it an incredibly successful project for Coach Greg. But in looking to purchase the product at a discount or purchasing it from stores other than Doucette’s own website, there’s a risk of being duped; just one of many problems in today’s online fitness industry.
Take a look at this product on Amazon. It looks like Coach Greg’s Ultimate Anabolic Cookbook 2.0. But notice the name of the author.

To those wanting to make a quick purchase, it’s easy to miss the author’s name isn’t Greg Doucette, but “Gerg Douscette”. Next, it’s important to look at the reviews. If there are none, and the author’s name is misspelt, that’s probably enough of a red flag. But when there are reviews to peruse, it’s worthwhile taking a look. Bear in mind positive reviews can be purchased, making a product seem legitimate.
Fortunately, or unfortunately for those who ended up purchasing the product, the negative reviews detail the problem with the item. The book appears to be nothing more than a jumble of words, and one consumer has even posted a page where it shows the book has been “Machine Translated by Google”. It’s almost always worth taking a bit more time to ensure the product you’re buying is a legitimate one.
