In 1986 Marvel published a comic re-presenting the first appearance of Wolverine.
In a top secret Royal Canadian Air Force Tracking Installation the presence of The Hulk is detected. Officers decide to mobilize Weapon X. While The Hulk is fighting Wendigo, Weapon X interrupts the party…
As Wolverine makes his first appearance, he attacks Wendigo, causing Hulk to think Wolverine is his ally. They both attack Wendigo until he’s knocked out, after which Wolverine surprise attacks The Hulk.
After a little interruption in which Hulk and Wolverine are both rendered unconscious from a powerful semi-invisible gas, Hulk and Wolverine are ready to fight again. However after another interruption that diverts Wolverine’s attention, he goes to sleep once again courtesy of Hulk’s fist.
While this is how it turned out in Wolverine’s first appearance, Marvel also explored the hypothetical scenario if Wolverine had defeated The Hulk.
In this re-presentation of the first appearance of Wolverine, the comic includes some historical information about Wolverine, such as first appearing in the Incredible Hulk #180 and #181, his relation with Mariko Yashida and his foster daughter Akiko.
