Digital or online piracy is practiced by millions of people. Piracy sites receive over 182 billion visits per year and is estimated to cost the US economy up to $71 billion each year. 70,000 jobs are estimated to have been lost each year because of music piracy and the risk of a malware infection increases by 28 times when visiting sites to download illegal content.
