Here’s an old skool European game converter for the Super Nintendo; used when you somehow got your hands on a Japanese or American SNES game, such as this version of Street Fighter II Turbo.
In Europe, having a game from Japan and the US provided people not only with a game that might not yet have been released in Europe, but also value from exclusivity. While the later European-released game would be no different, simply having the Japanese or American-produced game gave it value due to its limited supply; especially when covers of these games would have conditions such as “FOR SALE and USE IN JAPAN ONLY”.
