The Petronas Towers are an iconic landmark located in Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC), Malaysia. Formerly the tallest buildings in the world from 1998 to 2003, they were surpassed by Taipei 101 in 2004. The buildings are a major tourist attraction, with many visitors posing for photos in the evening as the towers form an illuminating backdrop in the KL skyline.

KLCC is an upscale area with various 5-star hotels within walking distance of the Petronas Towers, including Shangri-La, Grand Hyatt, Ascott, W Hotel, Mandarin Oriental and Four Seasons. At the base of the Towers is Suria KLCC mall, one of the largest malls in Kuala Lumpur, which leads to KLCC Park; a large green space in the heart of the city with walking paths, benches, a mosque, children’s playground and lake.

At night it’s worth visiting KLCC Park for the Lake Symphony fountain show, a fluorescent light show synchronized with music; a perfect way to relax after a long day. GOKL bus stops can be found outside Suria KLCC so you can take public transport back home or to other parts of the city free of charge.
