LaSalle Extension University was a predominantly distance-learning based private university that operated from 1908 to 1982. Courses included Accounting, Business Management, Real Estate, Interior Decorating, Hotel Management and more. It became known for its aggressive advertising, including taking up full-page ads in Marvel comic books with the often-quoted tagline:
“Look who’s smiling now!”
